Over the years, he taught at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, conducted psychotherapy research, and worked in hospitals, schools, and private practice. With decades of experience and more than 25 years of personal therapy, his understanding of people runs far deeper than formal training alone. Above all, his greatest source of meaning comes from the people he loves—especially his children.
The Challenge: The primary challenge was revamping an outdated and poorly designed website without incorporating any images, which is uncommon in modern web design. The original site was not only visually unappealing but also lacked intuitive navigation, making it hard for visitors to access important information about John’s psychotherapy services. <br><br> Additionally, adhering to John’s preference for a text-based design while ensuring the site remained engaging and professional required a thoughtful approach to layout and content presentation.
The new site was redesigned to focus on clarity, readability, and a clean layout, as per the client’s request to avoid the use of images. Using the Gutenberg editor, I restructured the site, emphasizing whitespace, modern typography, and an intuitive flow of content. This transformation resulted in a more inviting, easy-to-navigate platform that better reflects the professionalism of the client.
